Welcome to Shakendo, a mobile application designed to support families with task management and positive reinforcement.

Your privacy is very important to us. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how it is handled.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties under any circumstances. Your information is used solely to provide and improve the functionality of the app.

This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and what choices you have in relation to your information.

2. Data We Collect

• User Authentication Data: Email address and UID, for account creation and sign-in via Firebase Authentication.
• In-App Activity Data: Actions performed within the app (e.g., task completion) are stored in Firebase Firestore to provide personalized app experiences.
• Device Information: Automatically collected via Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics to diagnose issues and improve performance.

We do not collect sensitive data such as health, location, photos, or payment information.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Enable secure login and account management
• Synchronize your data across devices
• Improve app performance and detect bugs
• Understand general usage trends (non-personally identifiable)

4. Children’s Privacy

Shakendo is designed with both parents and children in mind. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

Parents are responsible for managing their child's data and account access. We encourage parents to monitor and guide their children's app usage.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, which may collect data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Authentication – for managing sign-ins
• Firebase Firestore – for storing app content and progress
• Firebase Analytics – for anonymous usage statistics
• Firebase Crashlytics – for crash reporting and diagnostics

We do not share your data with any third parties outside of Firebase.

6. Tracking

Shakendo does not use any form of user tracking for advertising or cross-app marketing purposes.

We do not collect advertising identifiers (such as IDFA), nor do we track your activity across other apps or websites. Your data is used exclusively to support the app’s internal functionality and improve user experience through diagnostics and aggregated analytics.

7. Data Retention

We retain user data as long as the account is active.

If you wish to delete your account and all related data, you can do so via a parent app access.
All data related to a child account can be deleted via the parent app.
The access to an authenticated child app can be revoked by a parent or via app deletion on the device.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Firebase and Google Cloud infrastructure.

However, please note that Shakendo does not currently provide end-to-end encryption.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under data protection laws (such as GDPR or COPPA), including:

• The right to access, modify, or delete your data
• The right to withdraw consent at any time
• The right to file a complaint with a data protection authority
